Lupita Nyong’o Named One Of Glamour Magazine's Women Of The Year

Just seven months ago Lupita Nyong'o wasn't exactly a household name...until she picked up the Oscar for best supporting actress in 12 Years A Slave. Now, to cap an extremely busy 2014, the 31-year-old has been named one of Glamour magazine's Women Of The Year and is gracing the front cover of the December issue in a sizzling white top. Dealing with sudden fame, Lupita Nyong'o opened up about how she's dealing with becoming a celebrity since her Oscar win in March as she covered Glamour's December edition.

Having worked as a production assistant on several Hollywood films, Nyong’o made her acting debut with the short film, East River in 2008 and subsequently starred in Kenyan television series Shuga in 2009. Following the completion of her master’s degree in acting from the Yale School of Drama, she got her first feature film role in the Steve McQueen-directed historical drama. Her role as Patsey, a slave in the film has become widely acclaimed, earning her the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, among numerous other awards and nominations.
