John Setzer, 74, a retired laywer
and former Army reserve, died Monday after an unknown package exploded, and his
wife Marion Setzer, 72, was seriously injured and airlifted to Vanderbilt
University Medical Center. Neighbors said the
blast was very powerful that it destroyed many things in the victims house.
This happened in Lebanon, Tennessee, about 30 miles east of Nashville. The FBI,
U.S. postal inspectors, the Department of Homeland Security and the Bureau of
Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are also investigating. No motive yet
noted for the crime.
So far, they haven't publicly
disclosed a motive.
"I could hardly believe what
I was being told because nothing had happened in my recent times to make me
anticipate anything of this kind happening, John and Marion Setzer are a great
couple, and they have dedicated themselves to taking care of other people,"
said Mr Cate, John Setzer's former law partner. An $8,000 reward is available
for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for
the attack. R.I.P John and we wish Marion a quick recovery.
