THE first wife of the Oba of Benin Queen Esther Erediauwa (Nee Osunbor), has died. She died at about 8pm on Saturday Jan 18th 2014 after a brief illness. She has been down with diabetes for some time which got worse last December and she was receiving treatment. Both Family and friends have been trooping to their family house at Omoruyi Street off Sakpoba Road, Benin City since news broke. There is no official statement yet from the palace as at the time of filing this report.
