Komla Dumor A Black BBC presenter dies at the age of 41

'Our brightest and best': Komla Dumor

A home boy and one of Ghana's best known journalists. He was described by his colleagues as 'one of our brightest and best'. He had passed away suddenly at his London home. BBC's Global News director Peter Horrocks said he had been "a leading light of African journalism". Since joining BBC in 2007, he won the Ghana Journalist of the Year award, Mr Dumor impressive career made him named as one of New African's 100 most influential Africans in 2013. From 2007 to 2009 he hosted Network Africa for BBC World Service before joining The World Today programme, and became the first host of Africa Business Report on BBC World News in 2009. May his soul rest in peace.
