Lagos’ Rapid Response Squad on Monday arrested Lekan Shonde, the husband who allegedly beat his wife, Ronke Shonde, to death last Thursday in their apartment at Tiemo Crescent, off Awori Street in Egbeda area of Lagos state.
The middle-aged man, who has been on the run for the past several days, reportedly strangled his wife to death after a heated argument turned into physical violence. He then locked up the apartment with their kids inside and fled the scene.
