Dr Ifeanyi Nwobodo jnr, first son of the former governor of old Anambra State, Jim Nwobodo, has died of cancer. Nwobodo jnr reportedly died at Niger Foundation Hospital, Enugu, on Saturday after he returned from Huston Texas USA where he had received treatment for cancer. He was said to have complained of having pains on his leg and met a senior oncologist with the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu, after which he died of complications from medication. The father, Jim Nwobodo, while narrating the ordeal of his late son to Governor Martin Elechi of Ebonyi State, who paid him a condolence visit on Sunday, said Nwodobo jnr was taken to the best cancer treatment hospital in USA where he stayed for five months and was discharged before he returned to Nigeria recently.
