Most of Mandela's R46m estate went to his widow / third wife Graça Machel

Deputy Chief Justice Dikgang Moseneke told reporters in Johannesburg last Monday that the provisional assessment of Mandela's estate was about R46m. Most of Mandela's R46m estate went to his widow Graça Machel and their offspring, not a single cent went to his second wife, Winnie Madikizela Mandela. She and Mandela divorced in 1996.  Machel took over four properties the couple jointly bought in Mozambique. She also kept their vehicles, jewelries she received during the marriage and all money in their bank accounts or invested with other financial institutions. Machel and Mandela were married in community of property. She was his third wife. Machel's has other children from previous marriage with former Mozambique president.
