The Ijaw leader and Elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clarke recently denied gaining any favors like contracts, oil well from President Jonathan's government via twitter. The former Information Minister and strong opinion leader in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria also dismissed talks that he betrayed former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, by reportedly saying that the ex-President lacked the political will to fight corruption, noting that he was maliciously misconstrued.
