Second American TV news anchor on Russia backed TV quits on air over Crimea occupancy

Two American presenters on the Russian backed TV station (Russia today television network) have gone off script to voice their personal concerns about Russia's occupation of the Crimea region of Ukraine. First last Tuesday, Abby Martin went off-script when talking about the crisis in Ukraine at the end of her news report, saying: "I can't stress enough how strongly I am against any state intervention in a sovereign nation's affairs, What Russia did is wrong." The network, RT announced that it was sending Martin to Crimea to give her an opportunity to make up her own mind from the epicentre of the story. Martin has tweeted that she is not going to Crimea. 
Now her colleague Liz Wahl has added her voice today, announcing her resignation on air. She told viewers she could not be part of a Russian government-funded station "that whitewashes the actions of Putin." Liz Wahl statement on air reads: "as a reporter on this network, I face many ethical and moral challenges, My grandparents came here as refugees during the Hungarian revolution, ironically to escape the Soviet forces, I am very lucky to have grown up here in the United States." Liz said that she was the daughter of a military veteran and her partner was a doctor at a military base where he sees everyday the first-hand accounts of the ultimate prices that people pay for this country. she said "I am proud to be an American and believe in disseminating the truth and that is why after this newscast, I'm resigning."  Watch the video below….
