48-year-old Montreal Woman dies from strangulation as her scarf and hair got caught in an escalator at a train station.

The accident happened about 9am Thursday morning at the Fabre metro station along Montreal's blue line. Witnesses said the woman was struggling to free her scarf after it got caught in the escalator on her way down to the subway. Her hair got caught too as she was trying to pull up her scarf from the escalator,  and everything just got tied up at the end of the escalators,’ said Constable Jean-Pierre Brabant, of the Montreal police. Two Good Samaritans rushed to the aid of the woman and by the time firefighters and EMS workers arrived on the scene, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. R.I.P.
