Chris Brown Guilty in D.C assault
Full post after cut......
Earlier today, Chris Brown pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault in his D.C. assault case and the court sentenced him to time served. Chris will NOT have to spend another day in jail.
Now here's where it gets weird. The Associated Press caught up with Chris' lawyer Mark Garagos outside of the courthouse and Mark was visibly upset. They claim he said, "They wanted [Chris] to read from a script that wasn’t true." When you plead guilty you are supposed to read out a confession of the crime in open court. It sounds like that's what he's talking about.
This whole mess is about an incident where Chris and his bodyguard Chris Hollosy were arrested for allegedly hitting a fan outside of a Washington D.C. hotel. Chris has already served four months in connection with the case.
The man who was allegedly assaulting Chris is suing him for MILLIONS OF DOLLARS. And a guilty plea by Chris, especially one where he ADMITS TO GUILT IN COURT - is gonna end up costing him MILLIONS in the lawsuit by dude.
